New score for Eastwood fans of simple beauty.
Info from colosseum.de
+++ Changeling
Clint Eastwood provides what may be his most beautiful, touching and compelling score.
“A thematic companion piece to Mystic River but more complex and far-reaching, Changeling impressively continues Clint Eastwood's great run of ambitious late-career pictures. Emotionally powerful and stylistically sure-handed, this true story-inspired drama begins small with the disappearance of a young boy, only to gradually fan out to become a comprehensive critique of the entire power structure of Los Angeles, circa 1928. Graced by a top-notch performance from Angelina Jolie, the Universal release looks poised to do some serious business.†-Todd McCarthy, Variety

I'm not a fan of his music, but I have great respect for him.
He does know how to make a movie!
And kudos to him for doing so much with his films. -

Ah, there wasn't a composer listed for this one at IMDb and I was confused... then I saw it's an Eastwood film so I thought he's probably scoring it himself. So it's Kyle Eastwood. -

I think Clint is the best film maker around. I like that his films are essentially about human nature and he gets the best performance out of his actors. Besides, he doesn't like rehearsing for a scene because if an actor gets it right in rehearsal he/she can spend the entire day trying to get it right again as he says on Mystic River's DVD.
On Eastwood the composer I think his music works perfectly well on screen. Whether it sounds good and complex enough on its own is an entirely different issue.
I own one score only co-composed by his son Kyle: Letters from Iwo Jima.
The CD is very repetitive with only 3 good tracks but i have to say the main theme, which is quite long, is truely amazing. -

Haven't seen it either but i am very curious as it's very advertised and Damon is interesting a character too..also i'd be interested to hear Eastwood in thriller mode, his last such outing (Mystic River) worked brilliantly in the film and it's a great listen on CD.Love Maintitles. I liked Iwo Jima...it had a nice, simple patriotic theme. But I'd say Million Dollar Baby and The Bridges of Madison County are his best works... -
