Western music as we know it today, i.e. the harmony, chords processions and logic we use since in all musical idioms 'except for Jazz and portions of world music of course, all started with Bach. Before him there was the music of Middle Ages, Renaissance and polyphony which all have very different musical rules.
Bach is considered the father of western music as we know it and Beethoven has as well the undisputed role of expanding it one step further.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

You don't. You quote the whole post and then edit it yourself in the 'add your comments' box. -

Alternatively you can copy/paste the section of the post and then use the quote button at the top of the 'add your comments' box. Except you will have to note whom you are quoting to avoid confusion, like so:

This is as close to a thread that is relevant to this particular CD. As you know I listen to classical, soundtracks, and jazz something I played a lot of. CINEMA PARADISO is played by a german quartet consisting of piano, bass, drums and tenor sax and the film themes played in jazz such as Alien, On the Waterfront, and Carlotta's Portrait from Vertigo are just three examples. Looking forward to doing a review.
