    NP: ZARAGON (John Miles)

More rock'n'roll than his earlier - and best album - REBEL (with the famous "Music" song), but far better than the horrible 80's outings.
    I am extremely serious.

NP: SINFONIE IN EINEM SATZ (Paul Dessau) A fairly modern sounding work that sounds nothing like some of the work he did later on for Universal.

Yep; it's a wonderful work, but quite different, stylistically, from his later works.

I have often pondered William what would have happened if he had continued from the 1st expanding upon it.

What's your favourite album of theirs, GT?

For me it's either The Magical Mystery Tour or Revolver.

Hmmm. That's a good question. confused He took his later symphonies in a completely different direction. There is still a definite 'Mahler style' evident in all his works, but it becomes more its own animal as the symphonies progress.

I have all of there music for about a year now. The only one I've given the album listen is Abbey Road and The Yellow Submarine. I loved both of them.

I usually jump around, but I must give them the album experience. Something to do today. wink

Off-hand some of my favorite songs of them:
    A Day In the Life
    All You Need is Love
    Golden Slumbers
    Eleanor Rigby
Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds
    Yellow Submarine
    Hey Jude
    I'm Looking Through You
    Across the Universe
  1. Eleanor Rigby definitely belongs to my most favorite songs of all time.

NP: Mahler: Symphony No. 9 (Live) - Gustav Mahler (New York Philharmonic & Lorin Maazel)

Incredible sound, but Maazel's tempi are often too slow for my taste. slant

I know my names not GT but my favourite is Rubber Soul.

Favourite song? Cripes there are just soooooooooooo many!??? I'll go with I Am The Walrus, I've always had a soft spot for that one.

Favourite Beatles song? Strawberry Fields, though I Am The Walrus comes a very close second.
Best outro (not just Beatles but of every pop song of any age in any way ever!): Hey Jude.

Music on the Floor Michael Torke

Being a huge fan of his 'Javelin' music for the Olympics, I've finally acquired some more of Torke's music, and thankfully I can say I'm glad I did! This is the kind of modern concert music I can really get into. cool (Similar to 'Javelin' in many ways.)
