I have the book in my collection, the paperback version. It is tattered from many trips on the bus, waiting rooms, and train rides but it is a good one.

One of the better Halloween CD's is the Telarc Chiller album.

Good review Tom.
I'd have thought the inclusion of the "Alfred Hitchcock Theme" was a good one? It's got a devilishly mischievous quality to it.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

I think it has a nice touch, the Chiller album. If you noticed I said nothing about the Dracula vs. Frankenstein. Different kind of music.

Should have two new items coming up. A column about downloading and a review of The Pageant of PT Barnum. I'm also off to see the Changeling tomorrow.

I'm still pondering what went wrong in the entire scenario. It was her that suggested we do something in the first place. This was not a matter of getting between the sheets, far from it. At my age I'm looking for someone just to share our interests and do things together.

I had my very first experience with the Amazon MP3 download system. I got a free 5 point Pepsi card and decided to download Peter and the Wolf with it. This is what I found. On the computer with headphones on it sounded just fine, no complaints. I copied it to a CD and played it through my hi-fi system and you could easily hear the difference. The high end (flutes) were not right and the overall sound was quite antiseptic and clinical sounding. The voice of Sir John Gielgud was very acceptable along with the timpani, drums, horns, violins. The oboe and bassoon sounded off to me but keep in mind I'm no genius and wasn't performing these tests under scientific conditions (wish I could afford to).listen to more classical music! -
