He wrote the fine score for The Dark (http://www.movie-wave.net/titles/dark.html), released by MovieScore Media, and last night I watched the first episode of BBC's new Survivors (which wasn't bad) and for the first tv show in a long while, had to stay through the credits to find out who the composer was. Hope it gets a release, would be very much worth it. -

Before the end credits I was sure it was Murray Gold!? I liked it, it will appeal to Doctor Who fans.

I do too!
I also stayed till the end to see who the composer was. I thought that the main title was quite a dramatic and catchy piece but there were several moments when I thought that his music was way too intrusive: when the character of Kuwait descent left his flat and ended up on the deserted street. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

You're right, it was a bit intrusive, but to be honest I'm fed up of scores that just noodle around and not do anything in the film - music just for the sake of having music. Give me intrusive over that any day! -

That particular scene pulled me out of the story completely. I don't know whether it was mixed way too loudly - thinking about it again it was the mix that was especially loud rather than the music being too loud. Does that make sense!?The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Having watched the brilliant BBC documentary series Yellowstone for the second time, I issue a plea for someone to release Butt's brilliant music. Please! -

I'd certainly back you up on this request, James. Butt's music for this series is excellent. I think the winter episode was particularly impressive. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Perhaps Mikael? He has released a score (or two?) from him right? The Dark was pretty good, especially the main theme.Kazoo -

I'd love it if Mikael were able to release this. He's done some Butt music before, and also some BBC music (Merlin), so perhaps it may be possible? -

Sometimes, you'll encounter film composer names that you can't believe are for real....Thomas Wanker, Scott Glasgow and, I guess, Edmund Butt.I am extremely serious. -

Would a kiss from Scott Glasgow be an 'Ed Butt?
Mikael's label was the first place I thought of as a potential release of the music to Yellowstone. Maybe Mikael's release of things like Merlin and the upcoming Attila The Hun/Napoleon (both from the BBC) by Daniel Pemberton. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

A 'Glasgow kiss' is to smash someone's face in with a head butt.
