Here's a great site for those who are new to 'classical' music or would like to give it a try. I just found it tonight and am enjoying it so far.

Sometimes it means I'm smirking like a mudderfocker or being a smug git but mostly it just means I'm smiling.....like now smile

It's impossible to get the nuance of communication through emoticons hence many of us use those individual one's as multi-purpose like my favourite....

This one wave becomes a 'karate chop'? 'pat on the back'? 'help I'm drowning'? etc etc

You've thrown yourself into a hell of unnecessary details; listen to some good music instead.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

What did they call classical music when classical was new?

As opposed to synth music, obviously. Good old fashioned renaissance Yamaha music.

So do I. I mean, how many other styles of music were around back then? 'Classical' music is the only sort I'm aware of, so why shouldn't it be simply known as 'music?' But then again, I may not be aware of much at all. rolleyes biggrin
