  1. After what happened with autographs in Kraków when he was there, congratulations biggrin . A friend of mine got one just by means of pure persistence (though there was an idea to just simply start singing Totoro to him to coerce him, which never materializes).

100s of people were waiting next to the stage. The organizer had to step in to say that "He is tired of the show and will not come out. He wanted to thank everyone who came".

But a small group of like 20-30 waited outside near the back entrance, he came out to go to the car and a few guys were allowed to get an autograph. But everyone was behaving so nicely he had not a problem to stay a bit longer to sign even more! (including mine) I think he signed for about 10 minutes. Then he went to the car, opened the window and said goodbye to all of us for the last time.

Wow. Sounds like what happened at the John Williams concert in Boston in 2014, i.e. the one where I shot this photo:

I also remember the mayhem with Silvestri & co. in Ghent a couple of years ago. The organizers always underestimate these things...
    I am extremely serious.

But what was magic about this moment is how serene (right word?) it was. No pushing, no yelling at all.

I think we were all too afraid of scaring him away :D

That's good to hear. "Fan mayhem" always made me uncomfortable, even when I was at the receiving end of it a decade ago.

For who is interested in my thoughts. I have reviewed one of my most beloved scores: MONONOKE HIME: SYMPHONIC SUITE.

There's a concert with Hisaishi as conductor, in Lille, France, just over the border from where I live.
    https://www.zenithdelille.com/programma … -hisaishi/

Thomas, Mario, my brother and myself got tickets.
    Kazoo
  2. Mario booked these of Hisaishi, asked us to put in the transfer section (commentary)
    Joe - All the way

I booked WSA, asked everyone to put in the commentary
WSA - It better not suck

Says clearly which one we have most confidence in wink
    waaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh
  3. I know it's gonna be a program of AYAO MIYAZAKI, and that music like Four Gods will not be played, but how awesome it would be if he could do stuff like that on the side?

Anyway, in theory, I think it's gonna be more or less the concert program of 2017?
    http://soundtrackworld.com/2017/05/hisaishi-prague/

Meaning, a good program, though I hope he does Spirited Away too. That's one of my favorites

Sorry for being obtuse, but I'm not sure what 'transfer section' and 'commentary' means in this context? You mean the people you booked tickets for said these things?

Anyway, a Hisaishi concert would be nice. Hopefully, he comes to Norway at some point.

  4. Well usually when you make a money transfer, you need to enter a specific code, so that companies know this is this money transfer for that payment (this month' water or electricity code)

But when it's between people, to know what the money transfer concerns, you can add a personal note (for instance: money birthday, payment restaurant

Well, my personal commentary needed to be: WSA ... :p

Anyone heard the new Miyazaki score yet? THE BOY AND THE HERON or whatever the name was. I sampled it, and must admit I found it disappinting. Very sparse, mostly piano. Not what I had expected. But maybe I'll grow to like it.

  5. Yes, I found it disappointing too. Especially after the hype I read about it. There's one guy in particular on Facebook that is constantly saying this or that score is the best of the best. But they are not IMO.
