    Guys, does anybody know how's Eric doing? We haven't seen him for months know and to be honest I'm a bit worried.

  8. My brother should know more as he's in contact with him but I'm sure it's nothing serious. I think the kids are taking up all of the time on the good old PC, so he hasn't been able to log on, it's nothing health-related I think.

    Hello guys and ladies ...

    Sorry that I made some of you worried about my absence here at MT .
    It started a few months ago around the 4th of May when I had an accident at work during a job .
    My left index finger got cut off and my left middle finger was seriously bruised too .
    With a bleeding left hand the ambulance took me to the hospital not far from were I was working .
    Once there they looked at my fingers and they quicly agreed I needed an operation to repair the
    damage that had been done . There weren't any hand reconstructive specialists on hand at that hospital ,
    so they loaded me back up into the ambulance and took me to another hospital were surgeons would be standing by to do the op . They managed to stitch my left index finger back on and did some repairs on the middle one . Then I stayed at the hospital for a while before returning home .

    Once home the kids were preparing for their exams and they took over the PC completely .
    I didn't feel like typing away on a keyboard anyhow since my hand still hurted like hell .
    Then shortly after my parents received some bad news about their house .
    They rented and lived there for 30 years , but now the children of the deceased owner decided they wanted to sell it . So my parents had to look for a new place to live . They were pretty shook up about it .
    After some searching we've found a new place not far from were they used to live . We've been keeping busy in getting the place ready for their move at the end of this month . Not easy when you only have got a hand and a half that you can use to paint and stuff ... biggrin

    Then I got a call from my best friends wife who was crying on the phone .
    She told me that my best friend is in a serious midlife crisis and if I could have a talk with him and try to help him out which I'm still doing at the moment . It's not easy getting someone past such a crisis ...

    And in between all that I had several other check-ups of my cancer op from last year which all turned out fine ... luckily ... and I started work again which kept me busy as well ...

    All in all , a busy couple of months ... dizzy

    I really need a vacation ! smile

  17. Damn man, you've sure had your share of challenges the past few months. Especially after I said there shouldn't be any health-related problems with Eric. shocked What a bunch of nonsense. shame

    Hoping the remainder of 2010 will be more uplifting for you and your family. And that the cancer will stay away...

    Just a heads up that I'm leaving for Ireland tomorrow for a week to visit some friends and do some sight seeing , eating , drinking , sight seeing , eating , drinking , sight seeing , eating , drinking ...
    So no worries , I'm not missing in action ! wink
