Any fellow phans here? Last night I bought the soundtrack to The Phantom of the Opera (regular release), which is surprisingly better than the two disc edition (which I also own).

I am impressed with Sir Andrew's ability to write three-minute hit singles.
I just don't see why he has to go and write three-hour musicals around them.“The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision.” ~ Lynn Lavner -

I actually like a lot of Lloyd-Webber's work, and don't know why people make so much fuss about it. REQUIEM, EVITA, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA....they all have brilliant musical "setpieces" that stand the test of time.
But I guess you have to predisposed towards those kinds of sentiments and "raw" emotion. -

Timmer, I'm dissapointed in you; I had expected you to be the first negative replier to this thread. It would seem Steven beat you.

I like him at times. I didn't enjoy Cats in any way but his more dramatic work, I do like, though I can't imagine listening to it away from the stage. -

If you like the music to The Phantom of the Opera, I suggest you listen to Wing's version:

(Don't play the video, its not Wing. It's something else.)
