  1. I'm sure he doesn't hold "Top Spot" but TOM SELLECK always seems to spring to mind when I think of actors who have featured most in album art - particularly in his cowboy mode. CDs such as Quigley Down Under, Last Stand At Saber River and Monte Walsh/Crossfire Trail are the main culprits (but it seems much more).

Looking through Selleck's filmography I think that there are a few more covers that have him prominently featured: High Road To China, Runaway and Mr. Baseball.

    That makes 6 in total.

I'm sure that Selleck isn't the most frequently-featured actor/actress on a cover. Anyone come up with more?

Hmm, Sean Connery springs to mind. Do paintings count?

Edit; Ah, High Road To China. They do.

I'm sure that actors who are associated with movie franchises will fair pretty well in this list. Sean Connery should do well: James Bond releases, First Knight, The Rock, that movie with Catherine Zeta-Jones (scored by Chris Young)...yes, Connery should be good.

Anyone care to put together a score?

  2. Anthony Hopkins should be good too. Titus, The Edge, Hannibal, Nixon...

Connery features on a lot of Goldsmith albums. (That's certainly a film music fan's way of saying 'Goldsmith has scored a lot of films starring Sean Connery.')

    Barry scored films - 7 ( Dr. No doesn't really count )

    Goldsmith scored films - 7

    It's a tie!

( perhaps Barry gets the edge for being involved in Dr.No? )

Well, Ziyi Zhang dominates the soundtrack artwork for just about any film she has a part... and I bet those soundtracks sell more because of it.

I think we can al agree that we like to see Ziyi Yang more on a CD than Amy Winehouse on the cover, of course tastes will be different as well

I'd buy an empty cover as long as it has Ziyi Zhang on the artwork... dizzy

    Well done beer

I suspect French actor JEAN PAUL BELMONDO features on the covers of loads of scores but I couldn't personally name more than a small handful.

If we want to just say a fictional character the award has to go to either Dracula or Sherlock Holmes
    listen to more classical music!

You guys should make a list of actors with the corresponding number next to their names, just to see who is the king or queen of cover art.

This is about actors or characters featuring on album covers Tom, I don't think there are as many Dracula's or Sherlock's on original score albums as there are James Bond, and if you're talking about compilations then Bond only gets stronger.
