The Great Escape is a good one because it's the first time we have heard the actual soundtrack recording from the film on CD.

As for CutThroat Island... yes, it's nice to have the complete release on 2CD but the packaging is some of the worst clip art inspired work I've seen to date. However, Paul Tonks notes are nice... but I wouldn't say that CutThroat is one of the greatest releases of all time especially compared to some I listed above.

And again I will say: Apparantly Varese's releases of the music from 24 has great inserts with tons of stuff by Callery.

I still need to buy them! angry

No , You don't need to.

It's awful music!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, the show used to be great. Bauer is one of the best character of the television, but dammed! the music is bad!

No matter how good is the package (well...If there are porn about Olsen twins...perhaps! )

    BLASPHEMY! kill

I'll admit the music on the seasons 1-3 soundtrack can be iffy in places, but seasons 4-5 is, for the most part, great! Sure, it's all synths, but it's some of the best use I've heard by any composer in a long time.

Having the music-only track on the Superman: The Movie DVD. Having Williams's classic score in 5.0 surround sound is more than enough reason to buy the DVD... the complete release from Rhino is extensive but also very expensive.

As for CDs (want to avoid some of the more obvious choices):

    Lifeforce: 2-CD Complete Score
    Arsene Lupin
    X-Men: The Last Stand

Hmm, you feel that X3 is a great release despite all the broken-up tracks? That bothered me so much I had to combine the tracks, and ended up with a 21-minute long monstrosity to close out the album...but i LOVE it that way...21 minutes of pure Powell magic.
I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to!

I have Halo (videogame score) that comes with a bonus DVD, which is basically crap, as it's loaded with some advertisements for Halo 2 the game...
