    I just watched one of the Varg Veum films (Varg Veum - Kvinnen i Kjøleskapet) and I quite liked the music. Sounded a bit like Basic Instinct. In my search for more info about this Norwegian composer I stumbled upon an interesting article concerning the recording of scores for the Veum films: http://www.ba.no/puls/article2713905.ece

    Are there Norwegians who could tell me a bit more about this composer?

    I should probably know, but I don't. I'm not a big fan of the Varg Veum TV film series; I haven't even seen a single one of them. That type of urban crime/detective genre doesn't do much for me. Nor have I heard about the composer, so thanks for letting me know. smile

    However, that article was interesting. It's about how expensive it is to use Norwegian orchestras for anything - film music included, forcing the composer to use Czech orchestras instead, mostly the City of Prague Philharmonic, which we all know specializes in film music. It's half the price to record it down there, apparently, although the Bergen orchestra's spokesman claims that terms are negotiable.
    I am extremely serious.
