Mate, you know the album's not even properly released yet, do you?
I'm sure there's more than a fair share of ill gotten gains being listened to and recounted on the forum, but at least try and keep your wits about you to wait until the actual release date has passed.

Now you're doing nothing but shouting "hey everyone! Look at me! I've got illegal stuff!".
For a high profile score like this, it may not be the smartest thing to do.

    I'm glad someone said it.

But i want Goldsmith's theme instead the outdated Courage one!!!!

Indeed. I´ve always thought that Courage´s theme is more suitable for a tv show like "The Love Boat" than for a sci fi show/film.

Said that, I think that the new theme by Giacchino is like a simple version of his Main Theme for "Black".

So what do you think about the score....?

I am fascinated that you had cared enough to post about this. At least I know now that I won't have to purchase this score, which is kinda sad actually.

I don't know, part of the old show could have been like The Love Boat in Space sometime...

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier - Jerry Goldsmith

Now this guy knew how to produce a 40-minute soundtrack album. Not a wasted moment. It's just great.

I don´t know, it has not been released yet.

But, guessing, I´d say it´s enjoyable but at the same time it is far, very far, from being close to Giacchino´s great achievements. And I insist, the main theme is a lazy version of Black´s Main Theme and could have been done for a RC produced score.

I cared becauxse Giacchino's official web site representative (Tony! punk), his PR guy (Dan Goldwasser) and some more official business representatives ALSO post here and I don't want this backfiring into Bregt's face in any way.

    That's all.
And the argument that at least now you know you don't need to buy it is odd: surely that would have still have applied if a negative review had surfaced two weeks later at the score's actual release date?

And again: I know downloading happens. No point being coy about it.
But actually flaunting the fact is another matter entirely!

Oh Jordi, you were already in a hole and now you've dug yourself deeper. Just don't mention Star Trek again until a week on Tuesday.
