You might be right but the concept of that whole thread was different. I decided to start new thread in the name of Alan Silvestri only after i thoroughly checked or read that thread that you have mentioned. Of course, you can certainly admit the difference between these two threads. Is it not?Racism, Prejudices and discrimination exists everywhere. -

I think it's fine, Sunil, but I am not a moderator here. In any case, I haven't ever really gotten into Silvestri, somehow. I have a grand total of two of his scores, and am not overly impressed by either. I was watching the opening to Mouse Hunt the other day and I said to my wife, "this is fun music" before I saw it was Silvestri. I might try that one some time. -

My personal favorites include (in no particular order):
"Sgt. Bilko"
"The Bodyguard"
"Predator"
"The Quick and the Dead"
"CHiPs" (TV series)
"Back to the Future" (trilogy)
"Holy Man"The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

There's a bit of order around here compared to Filmtracks. What we don't want happening is for dozens of these "INSERT COMPOSER HERE Best Works" threads to pop up when you can easily find that composers thread and insert your comments there.
Get it?

I always thought we need a "Composer Thread Index".

Wouldn't it be nice if we also have a thread like that? This will be very useful for everyone, especially new members.Labels are for cans, not people. - Anthony Rapp -

nope Sunil, we don't ban people, we bug them so they leave on themselves (Kokodezil anyone? )
No seriously, we try to keep the discussions topics on a minimum, so you can post everything you want, as long as you try to put it in the composer's topic, some you can place apart, if you think it reflects a movie, an album, but also these we try to see in the composer topics
you'll be fine here buddy, just play nice and you will not get into troublewaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

Not really much of a Silvestri fan. I do like some of his stuff for Contact, Forrest Gump and Cast Away (very little score but nice indeed). I guess that's predictable given my preference for drama/romance/emotional stuff over action. -

No Van Helsing, Judge Dredd, Mummy, Beowulf?!? Seriously?Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -
- CommentTimeMar 20th 2009
Shut this thread down. We already have a place for Silvestri discussion. No need for two threads.

Yes, as a whole of each, not his strongest efforts. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

Just use the search function and search for the composer name in topic.
As others have mentioned its nice to keep things organized here by posting in the specific composer thread. If the searches don't throw up a composer thread then you can create it. -
