    Arrived this morning:

    Lonesome Dove - Basil Poledouris
Quigley Down Under - Basil Poledouris

Since being impressed by The Legend Of Butch And Sundance so much, I thought I'd explore some of Basil's similarly themed works. I'm excited about giving them both a spin this evening.

    cool

I'm still not sure whether I enjoy Tangerine Dream's scores, but on Thief cues such as "Diamond Diary" and "Burning Bar" are worth placing on an mp3 player.

I'd say that for the majority of scores/tracks Tangerine Dream's stuff isn't doing a lot for me but every once and a while there are a few tracks that are worth having.

Yeah they have they're moments. I have Thief, Sorceror and Legend plus a few non score albums, I really have to be in the right mood.

I haven't heard a great deal of scores (say 6) by Tangerine Dream, but Oasis and Sorcerer are excellent scores. I don't know about Thief, but the price was low wink

    New today;

    Jorge Cacristan- Vivir Por Nada
Alexandre Desplat - The Luzhin Defence

    First listen of LUST, CAUTION?
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.
  9. No, replacing MP3s, really. I've loved that score since I've heard it for the first time. Wong Chia Chi's Theme is amazing, but there is a lot more to that score.

Actually it made me a big Desplat fan. One of those who really like L'Ennemi Intime. biggrin

I just ordered my first two Trevor Jones CDs today.

    The first is From Hell.

The second has somewhat of an interesting story to it.
I was looking to order the Excalibur soundtrack and learned that there were only 2,000 copies (or something around there) produced. According to soundtracks.net the estimated value of it was $85. So I found it on Amazon and there were two users selling copies. One of the users wanted $16.98, the other user wanted $2,000 (+$2.98 shipping) for the one soundtrack. Very excited to recieve this CD.

That Dark Crystal 2-disk CD is also proving hard to come by.
