So a bloke from Queen wrote the first two and Tina Turner wrote the third one? Where does Jay Chattaway fit into all this?

He wrote Missing In Action 1, I expect Brian May was too busy queening it.

    Today I bought:

NORTH BY NORTHWEST - Bernard Herrmann
    KING KONG - Max Steiner

I also saw at that shop Goldsmith's POLTERGEIST. People, make no mistake: THIS IS THE EXACT SAME RELEASE THAT WAS RELEASED EARLIER! No extra content, no new mastering, not even new artwork! It's just a reprint!

Good god! That means you found 7 people to buy the previous copies. I cannot think of anything more amazing!

The first 13 tracks are mind-numbingly dull. Brooding and unmemorable. Tracks 14-17 are decent.
I think Southall's capsule review for this is a little too generous.
I'm a big time Guy Farley fan. But this is the sort of cd I would gladly sell for a couple of bucks on the street and run away once I'm paid, lest the buyer changes his mind. dizzy

And I already listened to Loch Ness and it is indeed splendid bro, don't know why I waited so long to get it, especially since I'm a bit of a Jones fan.

at least it's better to discover them in the end than not to discover them at all, I think I should indeed try that same tactic on the Kunzels smile

War of the Worlds - John Williams

I bought this score today, as it was the only Williams score from 2005 that I did not own.
First impression is that the order of the tracks is different from the film.
Nevertheless, I'm very excited about it.
  6. Wonder Woman (animated) - Christopher Drake

I had a short suite of this from a website. Great title theme. I've been enjoying Drake's animated superhero scores recently.

    Prophecy - Leonard Rosenman

I listened to a poor-quality boot of this score only a few weeks ago. Glad to hear a good quality version at last. I think that this movie came out around the same time as The Lord of The Rings - so if could be a fruitful time for Rosenman. I look forward to hearing this.

Trivia Corner: director John Frankenheimer's work seems to feature in a few of my purchases recently. Black Sunday, Players (he was originally down to direct this before pulling out for...), Prophecy.

    And talking of PROPHECY...

    WTF!

I just got my order from SAE through and I open the package and through the bubble wrap I can see 4 CD's, Hmmmmm? I thinks, 'I only ordered 3, obviously it's because I'm their best customer in the whole world and they've thrown in a free CD, a complete and remastered Black Hole, unavailable to the general public and given specially to me for being a massive Barry fan no doubt? But no! PROPHECY, like I ordered is there but it also contains...

Genesis Rising - Aleksander Randjelovic ( a cool name I must admit )
Galactic Assault : Prisoner of Power - Sergey Khmelevsky
The Abbey - Emilio De Paz

    shocked slant

SAE are normally brilliant, they've only got my order wrong once in the past, sending me the songs album for Wedding Crashers instead of Rolfe Kent's score but at least that mistake is more understandable.

    Oh well rolleyes

  7. SAE didn't disappoint me in the first order I placed with them.

My copy of Black Sunday arrived yesterday!

I've done business with SAE for years and it's only these two times that they have ballsed it up, normally the service is very good.

The Randjelovic title has some good tracks - if it's not wrapped and you wear gloves to negate fingerprints give it a spin! wink
