Your comment is funny. Unfortunately the truth of the matter is not. -

Seems safe to discuss Zimmer on the Debney thread.
In other news, why doesn't Debney get to do stuff like Class of '61 anymore?''The mandate, as well as the benefit, of responsibility is the ability to tell when one can afford to be irresponsible.'' - Me -

One track from Predators is up for listening on Debney's new site. I didn't really like it. Too disorganized for me to pick out any theme.
Also, if you somehow skipped the 1st sentence, Debney has a new website.

Thanks for the heads up on the Debney's new web site. That new Predators cue had a lot of Silvestri feel over it. Although there wasn't much of a theme in the cue I'm looking forward to the score. Maybe we get some sort of best of Debney/Silvestri action score. -

Ironic joke of the day:
John Debney's status in facebook:
John Debney Why do so many scores sound absolutely the same these days?

Hmm, 'pot', 'kettle', 'black' anyone?
Although, like Southall, I'm listening to Iron Man 2 and honestly don't see why it got such a negative reaction? It's quite fun. -

No, other wise it would be comparable to CutThroat Island and Back To The Future - which it is isn't.
But it is fun in a [very] loud and [very] noisy kind of way. -

Well, to be fair, this is what Djawadi's fans attribute to his iron man score.....i mean, why not?Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Earlier this spring, composer John Debney recorded his score to the Robert Rodriguez produced Predators. Bringing new life to Alan Silvestri's classic themes, as well as his own brand of action music, Debney recorded the score with a huge orchestra at Fox's Newman Scoring Stage, and ScoringSessions.com is excited to bring our readers the exclusive photos!

Interview with John for aint it cool news: HERE
Really good and "real" interview IMO. John talks about the process of scoring Iron Man 2, (the bad sound mixing job in Iron Man 2 as well) and he talks about working on Predators and Machete.
I love how he speaks so candidly about work and the business of scoring, and maybe this might answer some questions regarding those disappointed with Debney's Iron Man 2 score. I HIGHLY recommend everyone reads it. -

He did claim it was the best he has done in a while.
You know... based on my humble opinion, he has some nice stuff out there but either my tastes have changed or I have too much music because I just don't respond to his music the same. I enjoyed Dragonfly and a couple others but recently I've been cautious laying the money on the counter. Hopefully this one is good. I heard a couple clips and wasn't blown away by any means.
