In thousands of years of history,
Through all life's highs and lows
There's rarely a moment so satisfying
As when a Dutchman and an Aussie come to blows.
Eminence in the world of science
- This is not what they seek.
Nor in arts nor in warfare;
No, 'tis the attention of a nubile Greek.
But keep in mind, fair maiden,
When choosing north or south on the map--
Martijn is permanently drunk
And Franz has got the clap. -

Oh dear - 'got the clap' doesn't mean what I think it means, does it?A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

Dear Sir, I write these lines to you
to herald my dismay:
my character you misconstrue;
I'll shy not from to say
that it is just a vile lampoon.
A tale that's always been untrue:
I partake of, each afternoon,
no more than just one gin (or two)!
Dear Sir, such character assassination
soils my stainless reputation!
I drink in thoughtful moderation
At lunch just a minute libation
of rum (by preference Haitian)
without another inclination
but for your good health to toast.
ONE glass, or two.
Or four.
At most.
Dear Sir, by this response's merit
it should by now be very claret
there's more to me than meets the eye here
and you'd consider at first cider!
I am a man of taste refined!
Booze is the last thing on my wined!
In short, dear Sir, you are a meany.
With best regards,
I sign,
Martini.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

Terminator is arguable ( Brad Feidel anybody? ) but I was seriously disappointed Beltrami wasn't back on board Hellboy. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Agree about Hellboy - and even more disappointed once I'd heard what Elfman did.
If I was being pessimistic then I'd be worried about Terminator: Salvation, but Elfman had such a good 2008 that I am looking forward to this. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

I have nothing to be pessimistic about this new terminator movie: the trailer looks awesome, Christian Bale is at the epitome of coolness right now, score sounds promising (i'd too prefer Beltrami but will work with what we have), Arnold Douchenpecker is away, i am ready for lots of fun to be had with this one, movie and score!Love Maintitles. Listened to the clips. Well... you might remember I´m not the biggest Elfman fan, BUT...
...I think I like what he did to the original theme, turning it on its head so that it can be used differently. Some stuff seems to be awesome, some... not so. There were some action tracks that were too elfmany for my taste, but others were downright fantastic. But I hope there´s more to the score than this one thematic approach. I hope he uses the original theme as well and combines it with his new version, and has a couple of additional cards up his sleeve. That could be really great, possibly the score from him I could end up liking most.
With Trek being the score disappointment I expected and A&D being as great as I hoped, Terminator could be the first (positive) surprise of the summer. -

Come on, how did Elfman steal from Beltrami? It was Beltrami that stole from Fiedel

Yup. Definitely the best Elfman score in my book (Usually I have serious issues with his style, while T:S is much more along the lines of my preferences; I´ll admit that most people will probably bitch about this being nothing special, but I disagree; for Elfman, this is quite good. ).
Not sure about this being the best approach for a Terminator movie (McCreary´s TSCC is more like it), but I find it engaging and fitting nevertheless. -

ah, you don't believe me?
Fiedel wrote the main theme and in any Terminator franchise we hear that main theme, because it stands for Terminator. Meaning Terminator belongs to Fiedel because the main theme belongs to Fiedel
The same with John Williams and Star Wars. So many years in between both saga's but don't think anyone else would have scored it except John Williams. Why, because it belongs to him!
I rest my casewaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -
