Another review, this time from Filmtracks:

    http://www.filmtracks.com/titles/wall-e.html

I see that my name is no longer on the forum cool

I registered years ago and posted a total of about 3 posts.....crappest forum EVER!

    Really, yeah! tongue

I should point out it's nothing to do with people posting there! ( some of whom I know from various boards )

It really is a messy forum though.

I like a lot of the reviews!

I quite often hear scores that others think are "great" and think, what's the fuss about? And other times I vehemently disagree with the reviews, but hey, wouldn't it be boring if we all agreed all the time! wink

I just noticed WALL·E won't be released in Japan until this December angry Apparently they think it won't beat Ponyo On The Cliff this summer.

I don't have high expectation for the movie because I didn't enjoy Finding Nemo so much... but the score was very good smile

/Film has posted a couple of video from the making of WALL-E. Check out the second vid if you want to see some footage of the recording session and Thomas Newman talking to the director.

The movie probably won't be out here till the end of July. So unlike Nemo I'll first get the soundtrack and then watch the movie! wink

Nice! Newman has this Tom Cruise thing going for him....just except the insanity. That, and looking almost exactly like the German football coach Löw. smile

Lakeshore's releasing his score for Towelhead on 2 September.
  1. What's happening with his score to "Revelutionay Road"?
The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else.
  2. What's *happening*? I guess it's being written. Is there something you know?

Hey, is there any confirmation of this? Is it definitely coming?
I've been checking Lakeshore's site and nothing on Amazon pops up.
    Still on for 09.02?

It'd be sad if this doesn't come out...

Thanks then, that gives me a lot more hope.

It's just odd to me that Lakeshore's announced Burn After Reading and not this, but I'll be patient. smile

    Thanks again Southall.

Maybe plans have changed - the only thing I've ever seen is the email I got on the day I posted my first message. I'm looking forward to hearing this (and seeing the film).

  6. Agreed. There are moments when that album works, but for the most part it reminds you that a composer's sound can go well beyond performance and interpretation.
