    NP: Shrek - HGW & Powell

    Watching DreamWorks concert video inspired me to play this. smile It was surprising to hear such beautiful music, like Fairytale theme and guitars on Eating Alone, on this funny comedy. I love the cartoony stuff and uplifting action tracks as well.

  6. HOOK COMPLETE (John Williams)

    I can't get over the fact how brilliant the full score is, so that's why I made my own complete edition... A riveting listen from start to finish. punk punk punk

    This is definitely in my Williams top 5.

    Der Baader Meinhof Komplex is a German film about der Rote Armee Fraktion, an extremist group that planned terrorist attacks (though claimed not to hurt innocent people) in the period right after the war, as a reaction to the political situation at the time, not to fall back to the same mistakes they made. It's a pretty good film, and was even sent in for the Oscars Best Foreign Film, but the score was a little too commercial sounding to me. Sometimes, in the action scenes, it even resembled RC to me, which broke with the indy quality of the film itself.
