    Gents, and yes, I am directing myself rather exclusively to the male population at MT here: Stavroula has a point.

    Without seeming prude or overly Victorian here, the joke's been made and remade, and I think we can all get by without any additional reference to it. It was uncomfortable to start with -hence its deletion- and it's not without a certain awkwardness now (making such references in the pub at one's sixth or seventh screwdriver is different from referencing it on a public forum).

    I'm not trying to be "holier than thou", nor am I attacking or berating anyone for any reference.
    In fact, I welcome any and all discussion, INCLUDING sexuality -whether reciprocal or solipsistic-, as I honestly think the only way towards understanding is communication rather than "form", "style"or "convention").

    But I *do* think any such discussion should and could be handled delicately, and with respect towards all involved.

    So let's forego the easy jokes here.
    It's clear it's making some people uncomfortable.
    There seems to be no purpose served by continuing.

    If anyone disagrees, I'd be happy to enter that discussion.
    In the meantime I most sincerely and honestly hope no one takes offence.
    I'm not targeting anyone here.
    I'm just making a point I think is worth making.

    Yeah, see, Sunil, it's actually not funny to just keep on repeating the same emoticon over again. For that to be funny, there actually needs to be a context, preferably with a twist.
    Ironic, sarcastic, surreal, no matter: just as long as there's a twist. THAT is what makes thing funny.
