    During Newman’s illustrious career he was nomi­nated an incredible ten times for an Academy Award.


    Exodus (1960) won Best Original Score, and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) won both Best Original Score and Best Original Song.


    The Towering Inferno (1974) also won Best Original Song, which contributes to a host of award win­ning film themes from the films of Paul Newman.
