Just watched the Channel 4 documentary IN THE SHADOW OF THE MOON which I recorded from yesterday, very good, all about "the Right Stuff" who travelled to the moon and how it affected them.

Anyone else see it? I really liked the score too cool

Doctor Who was great too, back on form cool

  1. I did watch In The Shadow of The Moon and it was an excellent movie. Some nice personal recollections from those involved - I never knew that Buzz Aldrin was the first person to pee on the moon...obviously not exactly ON the moon!

Doctor Who was definitely back on form - Steven Moffat's episodes are always definite highlights.

Just saw THERE WILL BE BLOOD. Interesting film. Loved the experimentation with morality and character identification, in particular. The musical score was one of the most vital components of this duality.
    I am extremely serious.

The LOST season finale. Highlights included finding out the smoke monster was Jack's mother, and that the island was just a massive sea turtle.

I'm trying to think of the WORST mainstream film I've ever seen?

Maybe REDS starring Warren Beatty and Jack Nicholson, saw this fest of interminable tedium at the fliks too! slant

    Yours???

Watched the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy over the weekend. First two are top-notch blockbusters, witty and enjoyable. All seemed to fall apart a bit in the third one, but the final 45 minutes or so are spectacular.

I'm not crazy over REDS or Warren Beatty, but I didn't think it was that bad.

The worst? Honestly, I don't know right now. There are so many bad ones to choose from.

Oh it was, at least as far as I'm concerned, a true borefest, I truly struggled to keep my eyes open.

I think Nicholson is only in the film for about 15 minutes of the 15 hour running time.

    ARMAGODFORSAKEN is TRULY bad though.

    HER

    American Gangster.

Good movie, but it could be far better. Some things are too devoloped (the less interesting) and some other needs more time.

The score? effective, but Ridley better begs Zimmer or even HGW to come back with him.

The final minutes almost arruined the whole movie, it was more for a Rush Hour or 48 hours than for a dramatic movie.

    The Golden Compass

Mmm...I like Chris Weitz, But this movie sucks.

Cold, without magic, bad narrated and without emotion. LIke Kidman's Botox face!

The music...Well, It's far better as heard in the cd (wich is ironic).

The FX? How it won the Academy award????? crazy
