    It is overplayed.

It beat ( or equalled ) the record set by the Beatles for being #1 album & single for weeks, or is that years, on end.

Lovely music to relax to, this version is narrated by David Bowie.

NP: CAFE DEL MAR - VARIOUS

Bit of Mediterranean sunset "beer in hand" chill-out. If anything, it's just tormenting me - I'm just really looking forward to my holiday this year.

I've got that version on a red vinyl lp and found it to be quite good. As a narrator goes I still like Boris Karloff.

Not the ecstatic reaction you have, but a fine song and performance.

A new composer to me is Harrison Birtwistle. This new NMC recording features three of his works "Night's Black Bird,"" The Shadow of Night," and "The Cry of Anubis." This is very dark music.

Nino Rota and his symphony no. 3 in c major. This is pretty much neoclassical in nature and quite upbeat being in c major. It won't win any awards but its a nice piece.

I see that this is available as a digital download. And for just over £2 for almost 60 minutes of music it's tempting! But listening to the clips I'm not sure I'd ever be in the mood to listen to it!

The third track with the extended tuba solo is somewhat interesting.
