It is, but with so little John Barry news, a lot of it is off-topic. (Though we have been treated to a few new Barry CDs of late.)

You must be referring to Hanover Street and Mike's Murder.
I thought they would never release Hanover Street.
    Great Score!

Are you a big Dream Theater fan, a band member or what?

Wouldn't it be the coolest thing a prog rock / metal band member that was also interested in film music?

But no I'm just a fan, a new fan actually, as two years ago I wasn't even aware of this band.

Me neither. My brother in law introduced me to it.
Someone where he works was in a Dream Theater Cover band.
I bought the 20th Anniversary World Tour on DVD.
    Pretty cool stuff.

  3. Amazing concert ! The whole Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence / Octavarium combo is incredible. These guys can perform on stage without so much of a hiccup. Absolutely flawless. I liked the addition of a real orchestra.

I think there should be more orchestra-backed rock bands. Lots of them have done it.
The Who, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Metallica...
Now that Michael Kamen is gone I wonder if we will see much more.
He seemed to be involved with that sort of thing.

Have you listened to a lot of his work. He is one of those where you like him or don't.
He was typecast for a lot of straight-up action films for a while. He may grow on you.

Michael Kamen's Opus is a pretty good CD. I like his themes.
Too much tension in the action sequences on the complete score CDs.
Great for the film - not so great for just listening.

You try Band of Brothers, The Three Musketeers, 101 Dalmations, The Lethal Weapons, Jack and such?
They are as action packed as the Die Hard's and The Last Boyscout and such.

You're right! Band of Brothers is terrific!
I'll have to give The 3 musketeers another listen.
And I'll have to check out the Lethal Weapon scores.
Did he do all of them?

That he did. However, the only Lethal Weapon you will find is a dvdrip version. I still enjoy it. Better than nothing I suppose. biggrin
