  1. In the past I would start a thread each time there was an interview upcoming, asking for your fan questions, but now I will use just this one thread.

Freshly agreed to interview: Jay Chattaway

So, bring in the questions. smile

  2. Yeah, I think it's better to throw it either into one thread or in the respective composer thread. I think that you could also post links to this thread in the relevant composer threads. OK, I overused the word thread, but you get it biggrin

When it comes to Chattaway I don't know stuff about him, so I don't have questions.

  3. Never seen any Trek spin offs I guess. Though one or two people at FSM mentioned he's done some good National Geographic work.

  4. TNG only, some DS9 too. I only remember McCarthy, Debney and Ron Jones as the composers.

  5. Debney only scored one episode as I recall, while Chattaway took over as a regular composer when Jones was fired. He's most famous for TNG fans for his flute solo from the episode "The Inner Light"; he arranged it into a beautiful piece. The episode is quite good as well. Here is the music:

  6. I'm personally very excited to say Jerrold Immel has greed to one as well. :D

Taking questions for him as well. :-)

Going to let questiosn be taken for two weeks.

If all goes as planned, both interview will be up late September.

The guy who composed the DALLAS theme.
    I am extremely serious.
  8. Oh. I'm too young to know him then.

  9. Yeah, but you may have watched shows he worked on, like "Gunsmoke", "Hawaii Five-O", "Knots Landing" -- for examples.

  10. Also too young for those...

  11. It's not a matter of "too young" as, "I just haven't watched". All you have to do is watch.

  12. I am not a big fan of watching TV shows (or for that matter, movies) on youtube (unless I am REALLY desperate, I will want to watch Air Force One for numerous reasons and got a link for one movie I can't find, too) and those series both weren't on Polish TV and aren't released on DVD here.

  14. Ohh, then I have a question

"Mr. Immel, how do you feel about having a rejected score for Alien?"

  15. My next interviewee is Christopher Page.

You may not have heard of him, but he's been a synthesit on film scores like "Karate Kid 2", "Witness", and has worked for Mike Post on such series as "Qauntum Leap" and "Magnum, pi". He's studied also with Dick De Benedictis and ghostwritten for 1994's "The Arrival".

As I typically do, I will give two weeks for questions, then send them off.

Interviews with Chattaway and Immel are just awaiting their responses.

Seems like a rather cold person when he talks, no? Never heard of him though, and I only know the Dallas theme.

  17. Well, the responses were a little cold, but I swear he's nice guy via e-mail.

Check out the "Gunsmoke" episode linked in hte interview -- his first score for the series, and his first scoring gig. Right off the bat he scored like he'd been doing it for years. Fit right in with the show.

How many different themes there are. I must know! wink

Seriously I have a fair few ideas, but I've got to ensure I limit the hardcore questions which will leave people asking "Why do I care?".
  18. Hey, don't mind the use for other people's interviews. Anthony, also check JWFan and MMUK -- I got one of these at both those boards as well.

If you are interested, I can post this on your behalf at TrekBBS.com; a LOT of users there, and they got their own "LOST" sub forum with frequent use.

I'm pretty sure you know more about them than he does!
