  1. Strange, no topic yet of this composer

perhaps not the most known or most beloved composer, but he did create some amusing scores. What's Eating Gilbert Grape, JAWS 3-D and Alex Rider to name a few

anyway, here's the review of Alex Rider

I have JAWS 3D, which I bought only for the Williams connection. Has a couple of decent tracks, but the suspense cues are really pretty standard and not to my liking. Not something I play very often. But I love GILBERT GRAPE the movie, and actually didn't know that Parker had done the score.
    I am extremely serious.

I saw in the last days some of the Alan parkers movies: Fame, Midnight Express and angel heart.

How they could be worst directed? shocked

I discovered Alan Parker a few weeks ago. Stormbreaker seems like one of his better scores. As always, here's some free music from him. smile This is a 29 track showreel from Alan's rep's site, SMA Talent, that features tracks from most of his major projects. He's worth the listen.

Alan Parker's page at SMA Talent
    --Download Alan Parker Demo Reel
    Included:
    -Stormbreaker (Main theme = !!!) -5 tracks
-What's Eating Gilbert Grape? -2 tracks
    - ...And a bunch more. The above tracks and the opening titles to Victoria & Albert and Wild Justice are good.
  4. he's definitely not a bad composer, I've heard much much worse
