    Lost - Season 4.

Thank god for this one - as it features more of Desmond's theme!

Treasure Planet - James Newton Howard

There are some terrific themes on the album but the bulk of the tracks are a bit too mickey-mousy for my taste.

    NP: A Christmas Carol (Sivestri)

Perhaps I'm not to the right mood to listen music for Christmas (it's november!).

or perhaps it's I find this score a uninspired brother of Polar Express score, wich is one of Silvestris best scores in his whole career.

But this score it's only a couple of vibrant (terrific and splendid) action tracks and a lot of cliches.

    Changed to....

    NP:Quantum of Solace

Great! I love the rytms and the orchestral pallete.

"The Palio","somebody Want to kill you" , "night at the opera", "pusuit at port Prince", "la perla de las Lunas"...

So many good tracks! A much better listening experience than Casino Royale. if Only QOF had "you know my name" theme...

I agree. And it does have an equally good theme, actually. It's just not in the song and it's another of those greatly missed opportunities to develop it into one... (Not dissimilar to what happened on Die another Day.)

Well, I can think of several... Oh, let's NOT get into that again! wink

NP: The Big Gundown - Ennio Morricone
One of his most exquisite and best scores. Definitely one of my favourite western scores ever. Hell, one of my favourite scores in any genre. SO choc-full of melodies, great ideas and style, it's very hard to beat.
The kind of mastership that I know I can turn to again and again for a balm to the soul.

It's not my saying baby anyway... Violence in anyway is not my thing. But yes let's not get into it again! We have different opinions, I remember.
Just a quick thought though, not to dabate it just to think. I''ll tell you what I told my students. Think how different our world may have been if Guy had succeded. smile

    Yep.

    (Sounds like a great assignment!
I remember a science fiction story about a bloke who went back to prevent Napoleon from losing at Waterloo, only to find on his return that all progress had stagnated and he had come home into a 19th-century-extended european dictatorship. I'm not sure about some of the conclusions, but it was a great mental exercise in imagination!)

One of the most beautiful scores ever, so touching, heartfelt and emotional. I really wish Sakamoto is given more important projects to score some days, with a big budget that will allow more than what he did in the otherwise excellent SILK. He's talent and touch for melody are very special.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.
