Oh dear. I was just bemoaning this scoring fad in my class today. There's one cliche I could do without.A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

NP:Lara Croft 2 (Silvestri)
I like it. The mix of styles are quite interesting, and there a couple of powerful moments worth to listen.
And it has one of Silvestri's best cues ever. -

You have been listening to that one a lot lately? That good, hey? Is this the whole score? or is it coupled with another one? Any dialogue in it? -

If you like his jazzy style from The Thomas Crown Affair then you'll likely love it Martin, it does have a bit of sound effects on a few tracks but it doesn't get in the way very much.
It's coupled with his score to The Hunter, it's okay but it's Le Mans I always want to play.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

I thought of this score earlier, while I tried (but ultimately failed) to make it all the way through GI Joe for the first time. (I foolishly thought that if I left it a few weeks in between attempting to listen to it that it might not seem so terrible.) He did a similar thing infinitely better in Lara Croft. -

Escape from the Planet of the Apes - Jerry Goldsmith
I'd forgotten just how good this is, and how unlike the first score it is. (Has anyone else ever had the same approach as Goldsmith to sequels - ie write something completely different!?) -

Does it have electric guitars?
NP:Call of Duty :Modern Warfare 2 (zimmer)
Nominated for Worst Zimmer music ever. (the other one is Younger and Younger, so it's a dificult category)

You can't go past the amazing sound of the Blaster Beam!
I love it's use in a hand full of other scores but in Star Trek: The Motion Picture it truly shines!
They should drag it out of the warehouse (I think it's in the crate next to the ark) dust it off, repair it and use it again for a new project. -

Worst? No. It actually works nice in the background (like reading), I do like some ideas and it's nice to see what exactly is Brian Tyler inspired byhttp://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website
