  1. Disney has bought Marvel comics:
    http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page … p;id=22747

The exact details aren't really spelled out, but this much we know:

According to Roger at Intrada Records, who rekindled the relationship with Disney (that's what has brought us these previously unreleased Disney scores like "Something Wicked This Way Comes"), Disney will not liscanse out the rights to animated projects to third parties. And since they won't do it themselves, or properly most of the time, if they control rights to Marvel animated film scores, better hope youy don't enjoy any of the past/present/or future ones.

And Disney is no longer releasing score CDs; all new ones will be download only, the first known victim being "Up", so even if they do let one come out ... it'll be download only.

    Sorry.

    Some superheros Marvel holds:
    Spider-Man
    X-Men
    The Fantastic Four
    Ghost Rider
Iron Man (oh man, if only Ramin had scored an ANIMATED one, now. Perhaps we could have all been spared!!!)
    The Incredible Hulk
    Thor

This is the third time I've read this announcement on Maintitles. And still it's a real struggle to contain my indifference.

Yes, do we really need two threads on this?

My reaction is the same as Southall's, incidentally.
    I am extremely serious.

Two individual threads plus discussion of it in the "World events" thread!

Curious... why is this thread still active when the other one came first?!

  2. I've neither read nor seen the other threads, and I don't visit every sub forum here. This thread is about the affect on scores. I could care less if there are other threads.

Which leads me to wonder why you didn't look for them, if you care so much.

Never understood the phrase "I COULD care less." Makes no sense? Surely you want to say "I couldn't care less"?

Anyway, getting back on topic.... Symphonette #2.

You could stretch a bit and say that it is World Events but one of these should be closed. Which one?

If he were on top of things he would have closed the right thread and deleted Justin, Sunil and Jordi's accounts... Ok, maybe not Sunil and Jordi.

They almost bought Universal in 1989. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

In that scenario the only hope would be to keep fingers crossed for the film music label pros to eventually establish some kind of negotiation deal to keep the releases coming. And to show our support for them by buying the CDs.

I'd bet that this black man rendition of Captain America will kick so much ass in comparison to that previous soft soft blonde Brony version we've been seeing all this time.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.
