Was just listening to Debbie Wiseman this morning. I happen to adore her music. I've read through some of the comments here. Yikes. Arsene Lupin and Middletown are my two favorites but I think she has incredible talents and a natural dramatic sense that lends well to films no matter what score it is. Not pretentious or contrived but rather beautiful fluid writing.

I for one am very glad she released the solo piano work on Warner Bros. Classics. It is refreshing to hear how a melody has its beginnings and she is pretty darn good on the piano which is an extra bonus.

It's pretty somber, and I've only heard it once, but yeah -- I like it enough to keep it in my digital collection. Time will show if it holds up after multiple listenings.
    I am extremely serious.

I think that it's an excellent score. This track from the album

more or less summarises most of what's to be heard on the album as a whole. Some have said that it is a bit repetitive by the end, but if you're smitten by what you hear here then the whole album is worth catching.

Sorry, I forgot that this video has geographical restrictions associated with it.

(And those in the music industry wonder why people head off to access their music from less-than-reputable sites.)

It is for sure. It loves restrictions.

    It's not on Spotify either.

This score is so heartfelt and beautiful. Imagine how good it is, than Thor says it's an "OK" score smile
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

  7. Great review Jon, I didn't know of this album, will definitely be getting it!

It's not a film music album but she conducted this classical album of Spanish music last month:

I was at the sessions at AIR studios in London as friends of mine produced the album and the performances really are stellar, it was such a joy to be there. Had a chat with Debbie Wiseman between some takes and she was absolutely lovely.
