exactly my point. You can do absolutely nothing.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.
  1. Now seeing effects on the west coast of the USA. Surges of 3 feet in places, footage of semi-submerged luxury yachts.

Glad to hear Miya is ok, I hope family as well. Tokyo seems to have survived it.

I've just seen lots of the footage. It's unbelievable! The power of that water, holy crap. Apparently the radiation level in Fukushima nuclear plant turbine building is rising.

Also an earthquake in western China, with 1000s of buildings collapsed and several dead victimes:

The footage released so far of the tsunami is terrifying! Shows how absolutely relentless it is in its sheer power.

Not exactly, given enough warning people can be evacuated from disaster zones, vocanoes often give big clues to imminent eruption and coast lines can be evacuated far more effectively since the horrors of the 2004 tsunami.

Not really, it hit very quickly, plus it destroyed the airport too; how will they evacuate?

I'm not saying there won't be casualties ( it's already bad enough ) but it was a lot worse pre-2004, with the tsunami warnings in place these days people can, where possible, find higher ground and prepare evacuations as was happening in Hawaii and Indonesia, unfortunately there'll always be certain situations that need reappraising.

    I'm ok in Sapporo smile
Sapporo (not near the sea) is safe, and gladly it seems where my family live aren't harmed.
Probably I'm staying here for one more day (or days), cause it's better not to move anywhere,
many of the transportation isn't working.

    Thanks for your concerns.
There are still earthquakes occurring in other areas, hope it ends quickly!

The danger was evident from the very first moment. If this happens, it'll trully be even more horrible.

  5. this is insane, it's like a Hollywood disaster movie but unfortunately it's real.

And now the nuke plant partially exploded, this is not good news sad

    waaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh
  6. A wall exploded to be precise. The problem is the temperature of the reactor rather than the surrounding. It's a cooling issue.

  7. According to the Japanese nuclear agency, the reactor wasn't damaged.

Maybe a stupid question, but why is it that things are BURNING? The combination water and electricity, I would assume, but is it really?

  8. Read a report that refers to data suggesting Japan was moved 8 feet by the earthquake and that the Earth's axis was shifted by 10 centimetres!

Yeap, read it just now. In combination with the Chile eartquake last february, some scientists even suggest that the day globally might shorten a bit.
