Why? Was I trying to blame Greece's ills on everybody else in the whole wide world again?

NP: BSG - Razor/The Plan - Bear McCreary
I tried playing this with the Razor tracks placed together and The Plan likewise.
Now I know why the album is mixed together like it is.
Razor is rather mono-thematic on its own with the exception of the "Husker" cue containing an interesting version of the Stu Philips theme. But it's all good.
My Battlestar collection is now complete! -

One of the very best scores for an animated film IMO.
It's a very good score. I'm glad other people know about it. -

Sherlock Holmes Hans Zimmer
I think this one of Zimmer's better scores in recent years. I think Zimmer was allowed a little more free reign on this one, it just sounds like he had a lot of fun on this project.
Is the movie worth it? I am generally a fan of Guy Ritchie's directing style so i guess i'll like this one too? -

Cinema Symphony (Andrew Pearce)
Another recent discovery thanks to someone here... you know who you are.
This is only my second listen and I'm already adoring it. Grand orchestral statements and gorgeous calmer moments are nicely wrapped in a riveting sounding classic film score package, all brilliantly performed by the RSNO and tightly conducted by José Serebrier. The second part of the mammoth fourth track brings tears to my eyes, something which hasn't happened for a very long time.
I can't wait to hear what Mr. Pearce will come up with for his next symphony.
A superb album that I will play again and again in the years to come.
Thanks again for your recommendation Erik. You were absolutely right in your comments.

Difficult to recommend. It is the typical love it or hate it kind of film. I didn´t like it the first time at the cinema but I watched it again the other day and liked it

Unusual? I don't think so. As good as it gets, Machstick men, An everlasting piece, Black Hawk Down....
About one of the better scores in recent years....What means in recent years? in 2010? Since 2005? -

Alice In Wonderland - Richard Hartley
Another version of the famed story, this time a 1998 TV adaptation.
Hartley's score is beguiling and charming, with a great sense of style and a great deal of charm!
There are some very faint echoes from Hook (which I actually rather liked), but it's no more that that: an echo, as Hartley is well and truly in his element with the material.
I learned later this was a musical version!
Thank heavens the songs are confined to a mere few minutes throughout the album, with well over 99% being just being the score proper. Highly melodic and thematic, and with a lovely classical approach, this is a majorly entertaining album that compares very favourably against Elfman's excellent effort for this year's film adaptation.'So, this is pretty much the worst original-to-remake transition in the entire history of film scoring. Poledouris...to Bates.' ~ Scribe -

Dammed! I thought I decided wich score i like most some years ago but now relistening the mummy the "ghost" is back!!!
The mummy has more themes, the action stuff is more energic... but 13th Warrior lacks of this "the omen" annoying moments and has a superb main theme.
