    I doubt Nolan would 'encourage' the director of the new Superman movie to go with Zimmer and/or Howard. Nolan's wife Emma Thomas exec produced the spinoff anime film Batman: Gotham Knight, and that was scored by Robert Kral, Christopher Drake and Kevin Mathei.

    All Nolan's doing is shepherding the film into production and overseeing the script, but he's not writing or directing it. He'd let the director pick his own composer.

Fact is however, that Nolan's audio-visual vision for the Batman is both up to date, very spot on and fitting to what he's doing overall. Yes, it has flaws too. So what? Who doesn't ? I personally find it very delightful and i only wish he continues in the same grim and realistic ways with the Superman material as well.
