The man who composed the wonderful score for "THE SECRET IN THEIR EYES", the strong and mature drama about life-determining choices, love, revenge.

Oscar-winning film in the best foreign category with a poetically solemn and beautiful piano - string driven score by Federico Jusid.

  1. Federico Jusid has uploaded 13 complete tracks from his score for CARLOS, REY EMPERADOR onto his website, and the music is fantastic. I would especially recommend you give at least "Emperador" and "Lux Aeterna" a listen. They're huge and wonderful tracks. I really liked almost all of the other tracks, too, but those were the big ones. I hope a commercial album for this score is coming.

I'm listening to it now for the first time. I'm not enjoying it as much as I had hoped I would. I've heard some of Jusid's TV work in the past and been super impressed by it. This one isn't as enjoyable to me as his music for Carlos or Isabel, but it's well done, and has some impressive highlights (the biggest for me being "My Name is Hazel" so far). There's just too much action/horror music for my liking. I'm sure it's very well done - just not my thing.

EDIT: Those last cues are wonderful. "Join My Owsla" especially fantastic.

I'm with you, christopher. Didn't care for that at all. In fact, it's been quite a while since I was impressed by a new Jusid.
    I am extremely serious.
