Hey, I was a kid in 80s. I remember see Goonies when I was pretty young (not in theaters, but it wasn't an old movie when I first saw it). I dug the music, and there's a lot of it that I still can get into, but there are certain musical tropes of the 80s that I just can't enjoy anymore. Saxophone over a drum kit is another one that just makes me cringe most of the time.
