  1. What does it mean reported? Applied for a player card or something?

Tom, I wish there was someone else here that could talk NFL with you. I LOVE college football (so if you ever want to talk about the NCAA, I'm game!), but the NFL has just never appealed to me.

Same here. No interest in the sport, nor do I know much about it. But I'm happy to let this thread be kinda "Tom's Blog about American Football" or something.
    I am extremely serious.

I'm a bit surprised at Virginia Tech starting off 0-2 to begin the year. I do follow college football a bit so please chime in with your opinions. As you know when college baseball starts I am a photographer and avid fan of that part of college sports.

  2. The loss to Boise State wasn't too surprising, but Saturday's game was a shocker. And it reflects poorly on Boise State, too, who barely made it past VT. Too bad. I nearly always cheer for Boise St. They are the one non-BCS school that threatens to break into the big games every single year.

I'm afraid I've never gotten into Baseball on any level (except for playing it very occassionally). How cool that you're a photographer for that, though!

Boise State is joining the MWC so they will be a BCS team and also have to beat TCU no easy task. However, in baseball I welcome them because they won't stand a chance.

  3. The MWC isn't a BCS conference, though. I might have been in a couple years if Utah and BYU weren't leaving. With those two schools, Boise St., and TCU (all perenially good programs - often ending their seasons in the top 25) not to mention the other schools in the conference that have occasionally good years and are often able to beat their non conference oponents, that conference would have been stronger than several BCS conferences that I can think of, and it would only have been a matter of time before they became one also. I'm not so sure now. Too bad for the conference.

Wow, I didn't realize there was an NFL thread. Hi!
I'm a lifelong Indianapolis fan but since they won the Super Bowl I am somewhat more neutral and just enjoy the sport for what it is regardless of who wins.
I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to!

  4. We don't have anything to do with American football and all I had to do with it were American movies (mostly action) dealing with it, like Tony Scott's The Last Boy Scout.

I'd love to know more about the rules though.

Of course the Chargers are in the same situation this year as the 49ers, Vikings, Bengals, and Cowboys. All teams that were expected to go somewhere and didn't. Right now I'm not sure about the dominance of any team. Perhaps the Jets.
