Not always; i've met women whose too much girliness eventually closed them in a completely feminine world led by the illusion that old men are pigs and they don't need them actually.

I like Portman's style... most of the time even when she is repeating herself.
The clips sound nice enough to me.

BTW, I would think girly is somewhat opposite of feminist as well?
I don't like feminists who hate men and who think the world can do without men... brrrrr

    GREY GARDENS
    Music From The HBO Film

    Music Composed by Rachel Portman

Based on the life stories of the eccentric aunt (Jessica Lange) and first cousin (Drew Barrymore) of Jackie Kennedy (both named Edith Bouvier Beale aka “Big and Little Edie”) raised as Park Avenue débutantes but who withdrew from New York society, taking shelter at their Long Island summer home, Grey Gardens. As their wealth and contact with the outside world dwindled, so did their grasp on reality. They were reintroduced to the world when international tabloids learned of a health department raid on their home, and Jackie (Jeanne Tripplehorn) swooped in to save her relatives.

Academy Award-winning composer Rachel Portman provides the poignant score.

HBO will premiere GREY GARDENS on April 18.

    Varèse Sarabande Catalog #: 302 066 963 2
    Release Date: 04/14/09

  2. I didn't even notice anyone on the cover - I just saw the colour scheme and recoiled away in disgust!

  3. I love Drew. And Rachel Portman. Just got The Duchess and love it! I've come to rely on Portman. I can count on her that her scores, though not particularly new or inventive, they're always lovely - and lovely is definitely a nice things to have. smile

  4. What kind of musical style is the score for "Benny & Joon"?
