    Who? You may ask.

An up and coming composer who I first came across when I heard his music for Too Close To The Truth (aka 31 North 62 East).

That was an enjoyable score but what prompted me to start a topic for him today was his score to the film Derelict. It's an adrenaline-fueled, percussion-dominated score with a smattering of choir and it caught my attention immediately I heard it from the clips.

If you pop over to YouTube you can watch a video of the scoring session which seems to have most of the music that's available (also on iTunes).

Have a watch and let me know what you think.

    will check it out
    listen to more classical music!
  1. Thanks Tom.

I thought I was going to have to mention Horner or Zimmer in order to get a response.

It may not be your cup of tea, but I really like it.

Derelict sounds like fun, and while it sounds familiar somehow, the creepy choir certainly does it work. I don't know if I'd be able to withstand a whole album of it (very overpowering), but the YouTube clip was certainly worth hearing. Some percussion moments reminded me of Elfmans Planet of the Apes and Narnia. smile

Do you have heard it completely? Or also just these clips?

  2. I bought the score as a download but it only runs to just over 11 minutes - the same length as the video. I'm wondering if all the music is featured on the video?

Maybe the composer will see this when he Googles his name in the future and lets us know?
