Superb compilation, and as a bonus for me and my taste - it's mostly his calmer material!!I am extremely serious. -

SUPERMAN IV: THE QUEST FOR PEACE - ALEXANDER COURAGE & JOHN WILLIAMS
Truly enjoyable, the incorporation of Williams' themes with the Courage material is spot on. The Nuclear Man theme is friggin' awesome, and I love how it is the driving force behind the action cues later on. Though this score is just under two hours long, it's never dull. This is right up my alley.
Now this was also a nice suprice when I bought the FSM box a while back, having never heard Superman IV before. I even like Ron Jones' Animated series music. So the box is very much worth its weight in gold, loving everything apart from Superman 3, although it's not that bad either."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

LOST IN SPACE - BRUCE BROUGHTON
Fantastic adventurous score. I've heard some of Broughton's acclaimed scores since buying this one and they're never quite as enjoyable as LOS. I think I'm just a sucker for this sound, that totally huge swashbuckling sound built on fantastic themes and addictive musical structures. Bruce must've been inspired like crazy to have written this in 2.5 weeks. It's only gotten better over the years, like fine wine."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Laputa (Hisaishi)
This score has my favourite Hisaishi theme ever. I'm not too sure about the rest of the score though. Needs some more listens.

The track "Flying home" = Pure awesomeness. Look forward to that one.
There are other good tracks. It's a rather mixed bag.

Well, the music itself is very cool. Very varied, though, and the album should have been re-arranged for better listening as a whole. It's a little bit on the schizophrenic side the way it is now.I am extremely serious. -

My main problem with it are the short tracks. It feels as just when a cue gets going, it ends."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -
