  1. Since today we've got the line-up for the festival:

May 19th - Joe Hisaishi with a "new concert"
May 20th - Game scores - Final Fantasy and The Witcher 2, special guest Masashi Hamauzu
May 21st - live performance to Pirates of the Caribbean and the Black Pearl with special guest Klaus Badelt
May 22nd - Bartosz Chajdecki's "Time of Honour", conducted by Diego Navarro.

Hisaishi is gonna be great as he always is, the game concert may be good. Badelt's presence is nice and I wonder how will a performance to the movie look like, that score was very electronic.

The place for all concerts will be former steelworks, built by the communists, great place to see, I must say!

This is one I've always wanted to go to, especially because of how interesting Krakow is. I was in Warzaw last year (or was it 2009?), but I understand that Krakow is quite different.
    I am extremely serious.
  2. Somehow apples and oranges, Krakow has a more intimate feel for sure. Hard to get lost!

Omg. So many festivals and quite interesting concerts (Joe Hisaishi! Games scores). Don't know about the POTC one though. Time of Honour might be cool, because it'll probably sound better. smile

Not too bad, I won't be drinking alcohol for certain reasons, I just can't at the moment unless I get allowed by the doctor.

Diego Navarro will conduct the world premiere of “Time of Honor” score in Cracow

The director of FIMUCITÉ, the only Spanish Composer invited to the Film Music Festival of the Polish city, will conduct the prestigious Ausko Orkiestra Kameralne on May 22.

Diego Navarro Reyes, the Tenerife composer and director of FIMUCITÉ (Tenerife International Film Music Festival), will conduct the world premiere of the score for the TV show “Time of Honor” on May 22 in Cracow during the fourth edition of the Festival Muzyki Filmowej (FMF). Diego Navarro will be the only Spanish guest composer to conduct the prestigious Ausko Orkiestra Kameralne and the Polish National Radio Choir to perform Bartosz Chadejki’s original score.

This concert means a closer cooperation between FIMUCITÉ, whose fifth edition will be from June 27 to July 2, and the Polish Festival. This collaboration began in 2009 with the aim to strengthen this kind of events in Europe.

The inclusion of Diego Navarro’s baton in the FMF programme also certifies the second official visit by means of which FIMUCITÉ has integrated and participated in his European brother’s activities. The first time, Navarro conducted the “Perfume” score at the beginning of 2009 in the Bologna Fields before more than 7,000 people.

The two main European film music live events began then a pioneer alliance whose result was the First International Film Music Festivals Circuit, with the vocation to enrich each other with their projects. They also have the aim to exchange guests since the most known composers and experts of film music have already attended both events.

Hisaishi's rehearsal @ Krakow (Japanese article with photos)
    http://www.joehisaishi.com/staff/2011/05/post_94.html

It seems the scale of orchestra & chorus are almost as big as the big Miyazaki-Hisaishi concert in 2008 (which is rare even in Japan)... shocked
I envy you Pawel crazy biggrin
