  1. I recently bought a selection of Salter scores that included Hitler. It was formatted as a series of 3 short suites and I'm looking to break it up into the individual tracks using the information from the old Medallion LP release that had all the tracks as individuals.

When I try and marry up the music in the suites and the tracks on the LP information it doesn't work very well. I notice that the suites were released as a single, bigger suite by Intrada on their Creature From The Black Lagoon CD (MAF 7054D) and I was wondering if there was any information in the booklet about how the suite was made up.

I've emailed Intrada but have not heard back and I was wondering if anyone had this CD? If you do, could you check the booklet for any information on the Hitler suite. Thanks.

I'm now into Son of Frankenstein the third in the series on Monster Music. This one had many of the groundbreaking motifs that were used for years by Universal.

To give you an idea of the recycling that Universal did I've included an audio clip of three movies. The first one is "Invisible Man's Revenge," the second "House of Horrors," and the third "Brute Man." I've named it the creeper theme in the review.

I'm listening to the new Kritzerland release of a Salter soundtrack "The Far Horizon." Am a bit disappointed because it doesn't have that sound he became famous for when he worked at Universal.
