I think that I may have found both the composer and the film - but through detective work from the clues rather than from recognising anything about the music. If it is who I think it is (1905-1972?) then I need to take a listen to his music as I no nothing of his work.

But if I am wrong then I retract everything I have said but I will still look into who I think it is...PM on the way to Tom.

The composer was Francis Chagrin and the film was An Inspector Calls. I'll post another one.

  4. Mystery Score Clip 7:

It's a TV movie dramatisizing real a real event. I think this time, three or five days until the reveal -- a week seemed too long.

And I would say that this is NOT Sherlock Holmes!

The piece at 2:45 is quite appealing - probably it sounds so real compared with all the other synths. Could be mid-80s to mid-90s with all those synths? Lots of what sounds like sea and surf. Almost a royal feel to the last bit.

I really like the Spanish flavour, though!

  6. Mine is from the early 90's. The composer is well known for TV work, particularly a certain TV series, though the composer has worked on over two dozen TV series -- a number famous/well known ones.

  7. Justin, is it someone like Richard Marvin?

  8. No, been working a little longer than that. Still works today, in fact, working on at least two TV series currently.
