I knew NOTHING of this. Legrand in March? I'll be there!
On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt
  2. At the moment I feel like getting out more and meeting people.

Tim, if I can make it to Bristol for Legrand, do you fancy meeting up and talking/listening to music (if possible)?

    Absolutely!

St. Georges is a beautiful and very intimate setting for music, I saw both Michael Nyman and Ryuichi Sakamoto there.

He's like the Stanley Kubrick of MT.
    I am extremely serious.

I can't be everywhere unfortunately and I don't want the hassle of getting there. I love those kind of meetings and last time in Bristol, with Alan, Timmer, James, Bregje, Jim and Tim (not timmer) was worth the trip though. Pics wanted.

This slots neatly between two other film music excursions for me.

Giacchino in Switzerland and another one which still hasn't been officially announced (and which is related to Switzerland but does not take place there).

A film music concert with MT members and Michel friggin' Legrand in your own friggin' hometown, and you only 'hope so'. Geez, what more do you need -- John Williams playing in your back yard? wink

Yes indeed, you make a very good point Thor. I get back to Bristol from a month long shoot abroad on the day of the concert so will be totally knackered but I think I've got to go!
  6. So is anyone still planning on attending the Legrand concert and have a few beers before/after?

I'm off on Thursday till the day of the concert so I'll need to book my seat tomorrow if I'm doing the concert, otherwise I'll just meet up with whoever makes it for food/ drink. Would be rude not to when it's on my home turf! beer

I honestly don't know if I'll be there? ( far more pressing matters in my life at the moment )

  7. I would like to make it, but at the risk of seeming to backtrack, I am not 100% sure.

  8. Hi Tim, I was indeed hoping to go as I was supposed to be back in Bristol Friday night. But unfortunately I'm currently stuck on the island of Funafuti in Tuvalu with no idea when a flight will come to get us. I know being stuck on an island in the South Pacific might sound great but after a month of shooting every day, 3 weeks in Fiji and 10 days here, it's anything but! Anyway, enough of my bitching, how was it??!
