LAKESHORE RECORDS TO RELEASE SOUNDTRACK FOR LIONSGATE’S ONE FOR THE MONEY

Soundtrack Album Features Original Score by Deborah Lurie
With Songs by Colbie Caillat, Kristina & The Dolls, and Amy Loftus

(January 5 – Los Angeles, CA) – Lakeshore Records will release the One For The Money – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, available digitally on January 24th and in stores on January 31, 2012. The film will be in theaters everywhere on January 27th. Deborah Lurie (Footloose, Dear John) composed the original score. Also featured on the soundtrack are songs by Colbie Caillat, Amy Loftus, Vanessa Bryan & Mista Youngblood, Delilah Bright, and Kristina & The Dolls.

Based on the first book in the worldwide best-selling eighteen-book mystery series and starring Katherine Heigl, One for the Money is a fresh, funny action-comedy directed by Julie Anne Robinson and also starring Jason O’Mara, Daniel Sunjata, John Leguiziamo, Debbie Reynolds and Debra Monk.

About Deborah Lurie
Named by the Hollywood Reporter as a top composers to look out for, Deborah Lurie has repeatedly proven herself to be one of the most versatile composers and arrangers in Hollywood. Music has always been a visual experience for Lurie. She was born with perfect pitch as well as a rare condition called synesthesia, which allows her to identify every note by seeing a specific, corresponding color in her mind’s eye--and won her a childhood nickname as Palo Alto’s "human pitch-pipe."

Lurie began her career by scoring short films like the celebrated George Lucas in Love. In the years following, Lurie worked as an orchestrator on studio films such as The X-Files and X-Men 2. In 2005, she scored the Lasse Hallstrom film An Unfinished Life. In the following years she went on to score acclaimed films such as The Little Traitor, and the Tim Burton-produced animated feature 9. Debbie scored a second Lasse Hallstrom film: Dear John in 2010; which earned her a ASCAP Film and Television Music Award honored in Top Box Office Films. Most recently, Debbie scored the box office hit Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, the Disney release, Prom, and Paramount Picture's Footloose.

Katherine Heigl brings Stephanie Plum - the popular heroine of Janet Evanovich’s worldwide best-selling eighteen-book mystery series - to vibrant life in Lionsgate and Lakeshore Entertainment’s One for the Money.

A proud, born-and-bred Jersey girl, Stephanie Plum’s got plenty of attitude, even if she’s been out of work for the last six months and just lost her car to a debt collector. Desperate for some fast cash, Stephanie turns to her last resort: convincing her slezy cousin to give her a job at his bail bonding company…as a recovery agent. True, she doesn’t even own a pair of handcuffs and her weapon of choice is pepper spray, but that doesn’t stop Stephanie from taking on Vinny’s biggest bail-jumper: former vice cop and murder suspect Joe Morelli -yup the same sexy, irresistible Joe Morelli who seduced and dumped her back in high school.
