I have seen in several CD stores some soundtracks with a few scoretracks, some of you might enjoy the songs but I am not one of those.

I wonder if anyone can get me some feedback regarding the few minutes of score by Rolfe Kent that appear on such soundtracks as Freaky Friday, The Matador and Just Like Heaven is really worth getting.

Even if I have seen (and therefore heard) several films with music by Rolfe Kent I still not own any of the few soundtracks with his music, at least not yet.

So can anyone point out for me which one(s) I should get.

Thanks and happy holidays to you

You got REIGN OVER ME? I think it's his best work to date and i just watched the movie last night which enhanced my opinion on the score even more.

Those 3 Kent albums have very little score. You might want to check his official webpage for samples to decide between them-
    http://www.rolfekent.com/filmography.htm

There are other Kent albums with substantial score that can be found for cheap. In particular I like About Schmidt & Theory of Flight. I also like what I've heard of Wedding Crashers and The Hunting Party.

Thanks for that review Demetris. I wasn't aware it had a score release. I'll see if I can pick it up.

David Dobkin is listed as the director to the 2010 film "The Flash", based on the superhero.

Kent has scored his last three films (though one score was rejected).

Unless the studio interfers and demands a "bigger" composer, maybe this will be Kent's big shot.
