    Launching a new series focusing our attention on talented film composers who gets the opportunity to showcase their versatility and impressive output, MovieScore Media has the immense pleasure to announce this CD featuring music by Danish composer Søren Hyldgaard as the first en try in our 'Spotlight Series'.

    Hyldgaard emerged in the late 90s as a fresh voice in film music, writing many acclaimed orchestral scores for films such as Eye of the Eagle, Angel of the Night and Tommy and the Wildcat. This compilation features an impressive selection of suites and themes from 18 of Hyldgaard's projects.

    The album is virtually jampacked with thematic, exciting and beautiful orchestral music with an emphasis on the adventure genre, but also showcasing romance (The One and Only, Something in the Air), animation (Jester Till, Help I'm a Fish)and horror (Isle of Darkness, Angel of the Night). The album also features the theme from Hyldgaard's score for the Hollywood thriller Red as well as selections from his many scores for Danish film and television. Many of the scores featured on this CD are world premiere recordings!

    First edition of the CD is limited to 500 copies.

  4. I am familiar with the albums Eye of The Eagle, The Spider and Angel of The Night and they are good listens. I would be interested to hear more of this composer's work.

    Looks like a great release. I've always liked the themes from Tommy and the wildcat, Angel of the night and Eye of the eagle. Even though I have more than half of the music already, I will be getting this release.

    I'd love to read a MovieWave review, that's for sure.

    Anyone who hasn't heard this one needs to buy a copy from SAE or download it. You won't be disappointed at all.

  16. I listend to the samples over at SAE, and I had never heard anything by him before. Now this is on the back list of things to buy when I am employed. Sounds like a very talanted guy to me.
