    Both set in space?

    Captain Kirk?

Nah! Can't be, Kirk always shags Aliens! moon

Aside from both movies featuring Horner scoring sequels to Goldsmith's original movies...

    Yup.

I've just always thought that to be quite interesting considering Horner was/is such a fan of Goldsmith. Listening to the alternate Main Title from Alien, I had never realised that Goldsmith was the first one to use those echoing sound effects (the percussion bit) that Horner then used in Aliens.

    Why? cow

Something about that bored-as-hell look on their faces as they eat grass...it's just so funny to me. There was a small barn near a park I take my dog to, (barn's gone now because of new homes being built on the land) and my dog would cry like crazy because she thought the cows were large dogs far away....Yet another reason to laugh!

I take you're a South Park fan then? biggrin
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

Yep, music is like drugs (although I wouldn't know I must say, but I don't need to find out either, because I have my music!)
    dizzy

Anything that makes us feel we transcend ourselves (or the human-being) is like getting high... music or love or a brilliant idea.

    Nothing so hi-tech as that!

It's just your normal puff / shortcrust pastry pie which looks nice big fat and filling but when you bite into it there's nought inside......I've had the misfortune to have bought two of these in my life.....totally mortifying! angry

Oooooooooooh... like a Boston Cream Donut without any filling. That's really pisses me off!

Shame. It's one of the most witty and satirical shows from America, Trey Parker and Matt Stone are friggin geniuses in their respective fields!

South Park is SO much more than fart jokes and swearing. I love it!

Watching a film that many times (50) would ruin it for me personally. I like to have at least 6 months between each viewing of the same film before I watch it again!

Alien is definitely one of those movies I've been watching since I was a kid.
  2. Well, its been 25 years since I saw Trek II the first time. wink

    A very, VERY good point!

Still, I'd find it hard to watch a film twice a year every year.

I mentioned I've seen Alien about 10 times but I haven't seen it for at least 10 years now.

  3. Well, there was a time when we had no VHS, and I used every opportunity (meaning, every movie matinee those films were featured, just because no one could tell if there was a next time)...
