He, he....PROMETHEUS is by no means a great score, but it is eons better.

Interestingly, both of these films are great while their music is not.
    I am extremely serious.

And let's keep it that way, please. I actually liked the Harry Gregson-Williams piece heard (over and over again) in Prometheus. And I think he used to know Vincent Price.

Oh, wait, was that Harry Belafonte? And he was black. Just like George Foreman, the famous ukelele player.

It's funny how these things go in circles.

Hahaha! I popped in here to see if I could learn anything about Steven Price (next to nothing 'bout him on the 'net--no personal website, etc. as far as I can tell.) I probably should've known better. :P Nontheless, this thread is fun. smile

Right. Ukuleles. Means "jumping flea" in Hawaiian. Wikipedia said so.

It is interesting. Especially if you liked Gravity.

And if you didn't, try this one: Acoustic Reflections. This sounds quite nice.

Holy Moly! You're on a roll, James! Great reads!!
However I really can't forgive Price to do such a close "cousin" to Gravity for a World War Two action drama with such "Pirates of the Caribbean" like chanting. Sounds to me like Captain Sparrow in Space. In a 40 minutes version it's quite entertaining to listen to but I just can't imagine how this should fit with the Fury movie... Need to listen to this in the movie but so far I would rate it 3 out of 5.

I get that criticism. Especially over an album of that length, that style of scoring gets old and predictable. Still, I prefer Price's nature documentaries to any of his feature film scores. I'm a simple man, and these go down easier for me than his more difficult scores.
