    NP: THE EAGLE (Atli Örvarsson)

This is actually quite good. I got renewed respect for this score and for Örvarsson after hearing him speak in Helsinki a few weeks ago.
    I am extremely serious.
  1. I love "Return of the Eagle", one of my most-played cues in recent years. The rest is texturally interesting but not really all that engaging to me - but that one track is worth it!

Very true, love this score. Same as Lorne Balfe's Ironclad, those two are underrated scores.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

I've fancied playing this again since Alan chose a track from it. cool

Middle-aged Radioactive Kung Fu Tortoises Brian Tyler

This is my favourite Tyler score. (I'm annoyed at myself for initially dismissing this one. Urgh.)

I like it too. Much better than Thor 2: The Dark Norwegian

It's the first time a Tyler score has given me "the tingles". He's so much better than he's ever been.

NP : LADIES IN LAVENDER - Nigel Hess

It's on TV right now but I'd rather listen to the score by itself.

NP: SHERLOCK (David Arnold & Michael Price)

I keep wondering why I like this album, but I apparently do because I keep coming back to it. They're basically using the harmonies of the main theme throughout and arrange it according to mood.
    I am extremely serious.

Strike that....SHERLOCK is now finally out and deleted. Except for the main theme histrionics, it's simply not strong enough to stay in my collection. But I still love the show.
    I am extremely serious.

    NP: METEGOL (Emilio Kauderer)

A weird Spanish animation film about football? Looks that way. But the heroic, orchestral score makes it out to be something more.
    I am extremely serious.

Yeah. I find it overly simplistic... not the simplicity is a bad thing but I don't think Dudamel has the chops for what he was trying to accomplish with this score. And the score is so overly long. I've played it three times now and each time there is a point where I feel like I've been listen to it for an hour only to realize that I'm only 6 tracks in. suicide

I'll give it another go but this one feels like another Winnie Mandel.

No, not me. I haven't heard it.

I didn't like COPPERHEAD which everyone seemed to like, I found it unmoving and exceptionally boring.
